‘Goo Hoarding’

First of all, If you’ve never heard of ‘Goo Hoarding’, you should check out this video from the hysterical Jenna Marbles. (which may not be suitable for all age groups)
Now… I admit to being a champion goo hoarder…but even I was surprised when I cleaned out my bag yesterday at the number of lipsticks I keep in my bag.

From left to right:
-A baby sample of BareMinerals marvelous Moxie in ‘Speak your mind’ that I got from a Sephora event.
-A Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm stain in 001 Honey Dolce.
-Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 825 Lovers Coral. This is possibly my favorite coral colored lipstick and will probably always be in my bag.
-Maybelline ColorSensational in 515Coral Crush.
-Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in #40 Pink Me Up.
-Maybelline Baby Lips SPF 20 in 05 Quenced.

Are you a Goo Hoarder too? I have also been known to find lip products in my car and on my bedside table just hanging out. That’s a lot of lip products for one mouth!

Summer Manicures

Here are my latest nail looks.
For June I used Ruby Wing Color Changing Nail Polish in Gypsy. The polish darkens to an apple green in the sunlight.  Unfortunately the heavy duty clearcoat my salon uses blocked the color changing power on my fingernails.

Then most recently I decided to go for this simple lilac look. This is Ramona by Julep. It is a purple/pink/white color that I love.

Bite Agave Lip Mask Review

  I have a hard time keeping my lips in good condition. They have always been in some varying degree of dry, cracked, and flaky. This is due in part to the fact that I have an embarrassing nervous habit of biting my lips. I’ve tried many, many lip-balms and concoctions but haven’t really had promising results with any of them. I have finally found something that works for me.

Go Vox Box- First Impressions

 

So I got home the other day and I had a MASSIVE box from Influenster waiting for me with TONS of goodies to review!

Inside my GoVoxBox were the following items:

• ProFoot Triad Orthotic: 
  This is a pair of orthotic insoles that are supposed to relieve back, leg, and knee pain when worn in your favorite shoes. I’m not so sure if these will work with ballet flats, but I’m going to try them out for sure! I spend a lot of time standing/walking during the day, so I can definitely give these a good run!
• Profoot Pedirock:
  This is described as a “Soft foot file” that is ergonomically designed. This can be used wet or dry. Frankly, I have the perfect test dummy for this as I do actually file and massage the beau’s feet quite often… (I know, but what is love for?)
• Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Tampons:
  These are new for the Playtex Sport line (which I already use), but these are supposed to have odor blocking technology and are “lightly scented”. I’m going to have to wait to review these, but I am curious to research this “lightly scented” bit, because I have been under the impression that fragrance isn’t good for your box…
• Blue Diamond Fruit Flavored Almonds:
  I got blueberry flavored almonds.. I actually really like almonds, but am a little wary about blueberry flavor. We shall see…
• Muller Greek Corner/Muller Corner/Muller Fruit Up Coupon:
  Coupon to try 1 Muller Yogurt Product… Sure! I like Yogurt!
• Aqua Spa Relax Body Creme Lavender and Chamomile:
  I am not a huge fan of Lavender, but I am a huge fan of body creme, so let’s try this!
• The Vitamin Shoppe Next Step JAXX Shaker Cup and Next Step Drink Mix:
  I haven’t ever had a protein shake that I can say I loved… I really like this cup though, so I’m game for new things!

I decided to go for a trendy, summery orange this time. I was inspired by Temptalia’s “5 Orange Nail Polishes to Try for Summer” and decided to go with “Sun Worshipper” from China Glaze, which seems to be an oldie…. but hey, it’s what my nail salon had available!

I apologize,  I have been quite the neglectful blogget lately. Working in the furniture industry as I do, the months preceeding and following Spring Market are full – speed, and I have been burning both ends lately!

That being said, I thought I would post a little update on a guilty pleasure as of late: the nail salon.
